Hohenstein Laboratories (Hong Kong) is fully owned by Forschungsinstitut Hohenstein Prof. Dr. Jurgen Mecheels GmbH Und Co. KG (Hohenstein), which carries out testing, inspection, and certification connected with textiles. 

The headquarters is located in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, with a global network of branch offices in 44 different countries. 

Work Location: Kwai Chung

To cope with our expansion, we are looking for an energetic and passionate candidate to join our Hong Kong Office.

What you will be doing?

• Conduct chemical tests in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Operate and maintain analytical instruments such as GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, LC/MS, and LC/MS/MS.
• Troubleshoot instrument issues and perform necessary maintenance.
• Validate methods, assess measurement uncertainty, and prepare accreditation documents.
• Assist in monitoring workflow and contribute to the development and updating of test procedures as required.

You need to be

• Higher Diploma or above in Chemistry or related subjects
• 1-2 years working experience in a testing laboratory;
• Proficiency in instrument operation.
• Candidates with experience in PHT, PAH, SVHC, and Azo chemical tests will be highly regarded.
• Knowledge of the DAkkS system, ISO/IEC 17025, and relevant standards.
• Self-initiative, ability to work independently, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Chemist
