Job Description - Senior Dental Officer (KEC/U213/24)
No. of Vacancies: 1Department/ Hospital: Department of Dentistry & Maxillofacial Surgery, United Christian Hospital & Kowloon East Cluster (HA Dental Service Network)Pay: HK$154,832 – HK$178,384 per month [HGPS point 45-49] (including Monthly Allowance) Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance
Key Responsibilities1. Provide general and specialist dental services.2. Supervise dental officers on daily practice and services delivery.3. Undertake administrative work in the daily running of the department and liaise with other HA hospitals for the development of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery in Hospital Authority.4. Undergo continuing medical education and professional development. 5. Other relevant clinical and administrative duties as assigned by supervisor.
Entry Requirements
1. A qualification registrable in Hong Kong under Dentist Registration Ordinance.
2. Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Dental Surgery) or equivalent; and
3. Registered in the Specialist Register in the relevant specialty of the Dental Council of Hong Kong.

Required to work in other HA Dental Service Network hospitals to meet service needs, including Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital (AHNH), Caritas Medical Centre (CMC), Hong Kong Children's Hospital (HKCH), Kwong Wah Hospital (KWH), Tseung Kwan O Hospital (TKOH) and United Christian Hospital (UCH).

4. Candidates who have not acquired the requirements under 2 and 3 but who have passed the exit examination and completed the necessary specialist training requirements before the application deadline may apply. If found suitable for appointment, they may be appointed to the post subject to their production of the required qualifications i.e. FHKAM and specialist registration within 12 months after appointment to the post.
