Job Posting Details

The DBA Office is seeking an Assistant Officer to provide Administrative and Marketing support to the HKUST DBA Program team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties including:

  • Primarily provide support for marketing and admissions activities, such as pre-event preparations and on-site support during admissions events; maintain the leads database; update the admissions system; monitor and manage enquiries from different channels, including email and social media; 
  • Secondarily provide assistance to program operations and delivery, including on-site support during module delivery to ensure smooth and enjoyable learning experiences for the DBA students; coordinate with departments and external service providers for on-site services such as catering, cleaning, and IT support;
  • Work closely with other DBA Program team members to ensure the program’s successful admissions and smooth operations;
  • Provide other necessary administrative support for the daily operations of the DBA office;
  • Work outside normal office hours, occasional work in the evenings and during weekends/public holidays will be required (will be compensated by time off in lieu); 
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in marketing or communications, with a minimum of 1 year of work experience, preferably in tertiary education. Associate degree/higher diploma holders are also welcome to apply;
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (fluent Putonghua would be a plus);
  • Relevant experiences with educational institutions, or event management experience would be highly valued; 
  • Good computer skills; preferably online learning education platforms such as Canvas and Zoom;
  • A passion for writing in English, and knowledge about navigating different social media channels, are highly valued but not required;
  • Good team player with fast learning and interpersonal skills, be able to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail and a responsible and proactive attitude;
  • A growth mindset, a service attitude, and a good sense of commitment to the job are highly desired.

(Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
