Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Engineer to join our Technical Documentation Department. The primary responsibilities of this position will involve briefing technical editors and guiding them through the process of writing operating manuals for machinery. The Engineer will be responsible for research focused on identifying operating principles, nuances, risk levels and risk assessments.

Job Requirements:

1. Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required. Specialized training or certifications in product safety and compliance will be a plus. Previous experience recommended.
2. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of power tools and machinery, their functionality, and safety regulations essentials. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO, EN, ASTM, is highly desired.
3. Research Abilities: Demonstrated experience in conducting thorough research on product types, legal requirements, and safety standards is requires. The Engineer will be responsible for gathering accurate information and providing comprehensive handover brief and checklist to the technical editors.
4. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial for this role. The Engineer must be able to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical staff and provide support and answers to any questions that may arise.
5. Attention to Detail: Strong attention detail is imperative tonsure accurate and compliant technical documentation. The Engineer must have a keen eye for detail and be meticulous in maintaining documentation standards.
6. Collaboration:  The ability to work collaboratively with a team of technical editors, designers, and other stakeholders is essential. The Engineer will be required to collaborate and coordinate efforts to achieve high-quality technical documentation.
7. Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills are essentials for meeting project deadlines and ensuring timely delivery of technical documentation. 
8. Adaptability: The Engineer should be adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously is crucial.
9. Continuous Learning: A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancement is highly desired.
