Salary:

HK$19,188 – HK$23,982 per month

Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1.

Provide direct patient care to patient, including bathing, toileting, changing napkin, bed making, turning, lifting and feeding.

2.

Measure patient’s vital signs and other physical parameters: blood pressure and pulse rate, respiration rate, body weight and body height, Body Mass Index, SPO2, glucostix, urine testing, ECG, etc.

3.

Prepare patient for investigation, physical examination and nursing procedure in ward or clinic.

4.

Perform daily disinfection, care and maintenance of medical equipment and ensure equipment and physical work environment are in good condition.

5.

Handling clinical waste and confidential waste paper.

6.

Check and prepare medical consumables and materials, restock after use, and assist in store inventory receiving and delivery.

7.

To perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Entry Requirements:

1.

Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent (see Remark).

2.

Completed structured departmental training program (see Remark).

Preferred Attributes:

1.

Possess recognized Health Care Assistant / Care Related Support Worker Certificate*.

2.

Holder of Corporate Patient Care Assistant (Clinical Assistant) [“PCA(CA)”]Training Program certificate for blood-taking organized by Hospital Authority.

3.

Experience in providing palliative care service.

4.

Proficiency in common computer software, including MS office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Access) and Chinese word processing.

5.

Good interpersonal and communication / presentation skills.

6.

Self-motivated, willing to learn and able to work independently.

7.

Good command in written and spoken English and Chinese.

Remarks:

2.      Applicants who do not meet entry requirement (2), if find suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months’ on the job training including the structured departmental training. Employment may be terminated if the selected applicant cannot pass the assessment after training.

3.      Serving staff with F.3/ S.3 standard and 2 years’ care-related work experience may also be considered. Candidates who have completed the JUMP program organized by Hospital Authority are considered to have attained F.3/S.3 level.
