Job Overview

This is a renewable secondment contract with a dynamic local broadcasting company, which committed to deliver exceptional TV programmes to audience in Hong Kong. The company has a strong social media presence and is seeking an experienced Social Media Specialist to join the digital marketing team.

Key responsibilities

As the Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for executing the broadcasting company social media strategy across multiple platforms. Your primary duties include: 

• Support to manage company’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram and YouTube)
• Create engaging, on-brand content (text, images, short video, etc.) to drive audience growth and engagement
• Assist in responding to audience inquiries, comments, and messages in a timely manner
• Publish Google ads and Facebook ads on a regular basis to complement organic social media efforts
• Monitor social media activity, analyze ad performance data and optimize content strategy
• Identify trending topics and emerging social media trend and incorporate them into the content writing
• Prepare and generate regular social listening reports with key insights to help the production team understand audience thoughts and perceptions
• Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by the management

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in social media management or digital marketing
• Creative mindset and ability to develop innovative social media content
• Proficiency with social media platforms and analytics tools
• Sufficient knowledge and experience in Google Ad, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Canvas, with basic video editing skills
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, strong sense of responsibility, well-organized at work, structured thinker with strong problem-solving skills
• Occasionally work in the evening and weekend for various shifts due to special broadcasting events, with compensation leave provided 
• Diploma/ bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or certain related field is preferred
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Candidate with more experience will be considered for the secondment position of Senior Social Media Specialist
