The opportunity

The Technology Consulting Team focuses on helping EY clients solve complex strategic, organization, operational and technological challenges. Through a broad scope of engagements, mentoring and formal learning, you will develop your career and be responsible for working directly with clients to understand their challenges and communicate and present EY solutions, helping manage engagement teams and participating in business development activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an architectural proof of concept
• Develop a solution architecture utilizing appropriate tools, techniques and models of system components and interfaces to architect the solution with scalability and robustness
• Work with agile methods as part of the product, service and solution development
• Apply major tools and techniques associated with agile methodology and updates approaches for subsequent stages
• Direct teams in analyzing current tools and solutions against architectural requirements and assessing constraints, e.g., security, scalability, performance, availability, and redundancy
• Evaluate analysis results against desired performance and usability outcomes
• Identifies tools or solutions which need to be updated, improved or reconfigured, based on analysis findings
• Recommend ways to resolve complex or less commonly-encountered errors in solutions
• Plan a series of steps to enhance tool or solution functionality and usability, potentially including reconfiguration, integration, removal or addition of solution components
• Investigate existing business processes, analyzes and defines underlying business drivers; defines and evaluates requirements and the scope for recommended solutions and programs
• Test relevant solutions or programs and the impact of solutions and/or programs against identified business requirements to propose adjustments
• Review and formalize impact evaluation of solutions against requirements
• Lead the development of Restful APIs, backends, and web applications that are used by mobile apps
• Review recommendations for upgrades or significant changes considering costs and benefits to the overall business
• Introduce new methods and tools for the design of solutions, systems and software
• Coordinate the use of appropriate design methodologies and tools to ensure that stakeholder requirements can be fully addressed by the chosen methodologies and tools
• Develop templates for designing IT standards and procedures
• Support the process for IT standards and procedures  service and implementation
• Monitor the implementation of IT standards and procedures in IT projects or services

Key skills and attributes required

• More than 10 years’ experience working in a mission critical system
• Experience in large scale transformation
• Experience working as a technology lead on SaaS implementation
• Proven experience to lead and mentor a team
• Proficient understanding of interface – design, build and development
• Familiar with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
• Experience in using Aladdin Blackrock or Eagle would be an advantage
• Familiar with test-driven development
• Fluent in English. Cantonese and Mandarin would be an advantage
