Assistant Technical Officer (Ref. 240717007-IE)

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting services and management on assigned administrative systems, network systems, software, hardware, network issues and audio-visual systems to the School;

(b) provide technical assistance and field support to the School’s meetings, activities and events, such as video conferencing and video live streaming;

(c) check and update the stock and inventory, and maintenance of equipment; 

(d) assist in maintenance and technical development of various web-based systems; and

(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of School or her delegates. 

The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) a recognised degree in Information Technology or a related discipline and preferably with three years of solid relevant working experience;

(b) have good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, Windows Server, iOS and Android; 

(c) be self-motivated and able to work independently; and

(d) have good communication and interpersonal skills.

Possessing knowledge of eLearning platforms as well as experience in supporting online teaching and learning in educational environment will be an advantage.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
