The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is responsible for the provision of desirable services for students of the University and enhancing their learning experience. We are now looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Student Affairs Officer to coordinate the 2-year LingArt Programme. This programme aims to promote Chinese culture and showcase its richness and uniqueness to our students and the community. Reporting to the Associate Director, the appointee will work together with the whole team and will mainly focus on the following areas:
 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning and development of high-quality art and cultural activities for the LingArt Programme. This includes conceptualising, organising, and executing engaging events, workshops, and initiatives
  • Support the Integrated Learning Programme (ILP) Team in managing and administering the ILP activities. This involves course implementation, programme promotion, and quality assurance
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide students with other whole-person development learning opportunities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive publicity plans to effectively promote the LingArt and ILP programmes
  • Travel to Mainland China or overseas countries, and work outside regular office hours, including weekends, as necessary to support program delivery
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the University
     

Requirements

  • A recognised university degree, preferably in event management, cultural studies, education, public relations or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of work experience, preferably in art and cultural organisation or tertiary education institutes, and have a strong interest in working with young adults
  • Be a team player who has strong organisation skills, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in graphic design software(s), webpage applications and social media promotion
  • Excellent command of verbal and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
     

Candidates with less/more experience will be considered for appointment at a relevant rank.
 

Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
