Job Description

We need a smart and detailed-oriented Assistant / Procurement Manager like you to drive excellence with Asia Pacific's Precious Metals Leader!

Key Responsibilities:-

Strategic Procurement:                    
Develop and implement strategic procurement plans aligned with business objectives and sales forecasts.

Data-Driven Decision Making:        
Analyze EOIs, pre-sold items, and historical sales trends to determine core product procurement needs.

Vendor Negotiations:                       
Source and negotiate with inventory and individual vendors to obtain competitive pricing, terms, and conditions.

Vendor Relationship Management:          
Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and issue resolution.

Product Quality Assurance:            
Ensure timely delivery and quality of products by coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders.

Inventory Management:                   
Implement and maintain systems for tracking aging inventory across all warehouses. Manage existing and aging inventory, including selling and repurchasing items as needed to optimize inventory levels.

Cross-Department Collaboration:  
Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Operations teams to ensure procurement activities align with business goals.

Market Analysis:                               
Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Policy Development:            
Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and documentation.

Team Leadership:                 
Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Your education is important.  Your experience is important.  But they are not as important as your talent!
 

If you are:

Educational Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced certifications in procurement are a plus.

Experience
- Proven experience (4+ years) in procurement management, preferably within the precious metals industry or a related field

Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills. 
- Proficiency in MSOffice, inventory management systems  (eg. D365) and procurement software
- Languages: Fluency in English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Putonghua is an advantage
