About GX Foundation:


GX Foundation was founded in 2018 in Hong Kong as a response to the Belt and Road Initiative for International Cooperation. It is a tax-exempt charity. The name GX is derived from the Chinese word“共享”, pronounced "Gong Xiang", meaning "sharing". Leveraging Hong Kong's institutional and talent advantages, GX Foundation is a unique non-governmental, non-profit organization specializing in executing humanitarian medical aid in foreign countries.


Our short-term objective is to complete the cataract blindness elimination projects in Lao, Cambodia, Djibouti, Mauritania, and Senegal, and to implement vector borne disease control projects in Timor-Leste and other Belt and Road countries. In the medium to long term, GX Foundation aims to become a humanitarian NGO of global influence in the international public health and medical aid sector. GX is headquartered in Hong Kong. Most of the staff are Hong Kong residents.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Assist activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, controlling inventory, warehousing or donation distribution. 
  • Propose transportation routes to maximise economy by combining shipments or consolidating warehousing and distribution.
  • Participate in prices and terms negotiation with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders.
  • Analyze information about supplier performance or procurement program success.
  • Handle purchasing order and process Purchase, consumption and Inventory data.
  • Working closely with fields team or logistics service providers in each country, assist in Import & Export customs declaration.
  • Explore or identify new suppliers in collaboration with other departments for medical supplies or other donation material
  • Build and keep accurate lead time and delivery schedule.
  • Manage the procurement tracking record and relevant document filing. 
  • Work travel is required 

 

Qualifications & experience

  • Diploma or above.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Putonghua,
  • Customer-oriented with a positive attitude.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of customer service orientation.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Good PC skills in MS Office.
