Summary

The candidate will join Credit Agricole CIB Global Markets Division, which provides a wide range of Fixed Income, Equity and Securitization products and services for corporates and financial institutions locally and globally.

Global Markets Research comprised of strategists and economists dedicated to providing customized cutting-edge market analysis across G10 and Emerging Market economies for clients.

Eligible candidates should be completing their degree requirements and are available to start working by Summer 2024. Trainee contract is one year to begin with and renewable for up to two years in total.

Key Responsibilities

Based in Hong Kong, the research trainee provides research and insight into global and regional developments:

• Gather information from a broad range of global sources including academic journals, media, government reports and think tanks
• Make use of statistical analysis to objectively assess and critically evaluate information with a real-world perspective to deliver compelling macro and geopolitical analysis
• Produce risk assessments and assist macro forecasting, including scenario analysis of future developments.
• Proactively monitor and track latest developments with the ability to respond quickly to emerging events
• Communicate findings in a professional and concise manner with insightful visualisations

Requirements

• Bachelor / Master degree in political science, international relations, economics or relevant fields with less than 12 months' full-time experiences
• Previous experience in a related analytical role in international research, consulting, government, NGO or think tank would be an advantage
• Strong team player but also self-driven and able to meet tight deadlines
• Deep interests and understanding of global political landscape with a good knowledge of the US politics
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (in English, and French is desired)
