Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain our organization's servers and related systems to guarantee continuous uptime and peak performance
• Provide expert installation, support, and troubleshooting across Windows and Linux platform, with a significant focus on AWS Cloud and on-premise solutions
• Tackle hardware and software issues swiftly and efficiently, ensure minimal downtime and disruption
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement new systems, applications, and infrastructure upgrades that drive our organization’s growth
• Keep meticulous records of all system configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting steps to ensure transparency and continuity
• Stay ahead of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to recommend and implement continuous improvements to our IT infrastructure

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent qualification
• Experience Level: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in system administration, network management, and IT support

Fundamental Skills: 

• Proficient in managing and troubleshooting Windows and/or Linux-based server environments, especially with AWS Cloud
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and data backup/ recovery strategies
• Familiarity with virtualization, cloud computing, and container management technologies
• Knowledge of shell scripting and CICD tools, e.g. Ansible. Jenkins and CodePipeline
• Sound knowledge on various Windows / Linux Platform and software: Windows Server 2019/2022, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux

Additional Certifications:

• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g. Microsoft, AWS) will be definitely advantageous

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team and manage multiple priorities

• Candidate with less experience will be considered as System Engineer
