Job Description

Position Overview:

This position will oversee the production processes by managing risks, coordinating with multiple teams, and leading strategic planning to ensure efficient operations, quality assurance, and timely delivery in alignment with business goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Execute regional strategy allocation that meets business needs and financial goals
  • Identify and mitigate risks, propose solutions/alternatives, and alert management about high-risk areas that may impact production and future business
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders by analyzing capacity and on-time delivery data monthly
  • Stay close to market information, conduct research regularly, and share findings with the teams on market conditions
  • Review all adopted product information from OTB transition and follow up to resolve open issues that may impede the production process
  • Conduct proactive risk assessments, identify or anticipate high-risk areas that may impact production and future business, and alert management and all relevant parties
  • Communicate with sourcing channels, merchandising, US teams, planning, and distribution to execute production strategies
  • Facilitate capacity planning and factory allocation and reallocation as required
  • Ensure high performance in regular reporting, costing analysis, WIP status, and deliveries
  • Understand, analyze, and monitor fit changes' impact on cost, delivery, and liability, and allocate the right factories to balance changes in demand against capacity and effect on delivery
  • Support forecasts, budgets, and capacities relative to allocations and minimums
  • Work closely with the US team on projection change management, evaluate and lead methodologies to meet the changes
  • Lead process review meetings with manufacturers to reinforce RL quality assurance
  • Create and update SOPs to improve work efficiency and achieve corporate goals and business demands
  • Monitor and track approvals throughout the production process
  • Participate in calendar creation with US counterparts for the seasonal calendar and guide the team to control the internal calendar
  • Conduct proactive risk assessments, identify high-risk areas that may impact production and future business, and alert management and all relevant parties
  • Ensure on-time garment delivery with efficient time management and fulfillment of the production budget
  • Lead the team to troubleshoot production problems and work with factories to present solutions to both the US team and management.
    Ensure allocated orders achieve target delivery
  • Manage and motivate the team to meet business goals and requirements, maintaining process efficiencies
  • Liaise with the material lead and manage bulk material platforming and positioning, communicating with US teams and suppliers to ensure full utilization
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered for the role of Senior Specialist, where he/she will focus on assisting in the oversight of production processes. This role involves facilitating effective communication, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis, and coordinating with various teams to manage product quality, delivery, and operational changes. Additionally, the Senior Specialist will actively troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain high product performance standards, playing a critical role in the smooth execution of production strategies.
     

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in the apparel supply chain and sourcing, with capacity planning; at least 5-8 years of relevant managerial experience
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence key partners at all levels
  • Strong presence and the capability to interact with senior leadership
  • Good project management skills with the ability to drive changes and improvements
  • Analytical thinker with data literacy, meticulous attention to detail, strong follow-up skills, and the ability to work under tight timelines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, assertive and organized
  • Demonstrates a proactive “can-do” approach to work assignments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio, and/or other relevant analytical tools
  • Proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of PLM and SAP systems would be an advantage
