Key Responsibilities

Here's the quick lowdown on what you'll do day-to-day:

• Understand business needs, prioritise requirements and liaise with technical staff and vendors to achieve timely and cost-effective solutions. Liaise with the software vendors to ensure solutions are deployed as per guidelines and business requirements.
• Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of hotel application systems, including planning, development, testing, implementation and maintenance.
• Keep up to date with new technology developments and evaluate their suitability for new initiatives.
• Define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
• Liaise with Security, Audit and Operations teams to ensure proper measures are in place.
• Design and ensure a secure, reliable, scalable, compliant and efficient design of systems.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to manage contracts, service levels and system integrations.

Requirements

Here's exactly what you need to excel in this role:

The Non-Negotiables (Must-Haves):

• 7-8 years of working experience with IT applications management in leading, developing or supporting large-scale systems, preferably in hospitality or international-scale B2C industry. 
• Depending on relevant experience and expertise, will be considered for a manager or senior manager role.
• A recognized University degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Capability in leading IT applications initiatives in complex and dynamic environment with proven experiences in managing key stakeholders across the organization and third-party vendors.
• Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin).
• Good team player and self-starter who is resourceful, energetic, confident, and guest-oriented.

The Cherries on Top (Nice-to-Haves):

• Experience in hands-on technical roles in application development management, together with IT networking / infrastructure, techniques, risks, best practices, security / change management principles.
• Proficiency in Cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, AliCloud, Cloud application systems and the deployment for all regions.
• Ability to articulate especially with management in a non-technical language.
