The mission of the Career Center is to engage, empower, and support students in exploring and pursuing their career aspirations, developing career plans and competitive job search skills, and making informed career choices.
Career Center provides various services to students and employers. Job scope includes career education programs, career advising, recruitment events, internship programs, job fairs, and survey reports. The appointee is expected to perform the following duties.
Job Descriptions:
- Assist in administration, planning, promotion and execution of career education programs;
- Assist in organization of career related programs/courses/training workshops and recruitment activities;
- Administer internship programs and sponsorship scheme;
- Liaise with students, internal departments and external parties (e.g. trainers/speakers and employers);
- Support university-wide employment surveys;
- Handle email and phone enquiries; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Holders of a bachelor’s degree with 2 to 5 years of post-qualification work experience are preferred;
- A keen interest and the ability in engaging university students and connecting with professionals/employers from different industries;
- Strong communication, presentation and project management skills;
- A good team player with a strong sense of responsibility;
- Capable of multi-tasking with a can-do attitude;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin);
- High proficiency in IT skills and MS Office;
- Occasionally working outside normal office hours is required; and
- Immediate availability is preferred.
(Duration: 2 years, renewable subject to satisfactory performance)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
