Job Description
Project Summary
A 46-month comprehensive blended-mode professional development tailored for kindergartens. The project seeks to provide practical coaching guidance and support to apply theory to practice for teachers and school management. The project promotes a conducive universal environment design to enhance inclusion and participation of all learner diversities and aims to foster a long-lasting support network between schools.
Job Purpose:
Provide coaching for PD (professional development) school participants to facilitate the application of newly acquired knowledge to classroom instructional practices. Promote good practices and strengthen networking between teachers, management, schools, and multidisciplinary professionals. Coach principals and school management on change implementation. Enable a safe and trusting environment for meaningful exchanges between schools. The coach will also prepare necessary documents, including a school support plan, training materials, reports, best practice examples, models, and manuals.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Provide coaching, training, and support to early childhood educators to promote inclusive practices and universal design for learning.
- Work collaboratively with educators to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to support the needs of children with diverse learning needs.
- Conduct assessments of early childhood education programs and provide recommendations for modifications or adaptations to support inclusive practices and universal design for learning.
- Develop and deliver training programs and workshops for early childhood educators to build capacity in inclusive practices and universal design for learning.
- Collaborate with school administrators and community partners to identify and leverage resources and partnerships to support inclusive education initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the coaching and training programs and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and best practices in universal design for learning and inclusive early childhood education.

Job Requirements
Education
- A Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working in early childhood education, special education or teacher’s education.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
- Knowledge of inclusive early childhood education practices.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines related to early childhood education and special education.
- Knowledge of universal design for learning is highly preferable.
Professional certifications and accreditations
- Qualified Kindergarten teachers or principal.
Others
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for education and a commitment to improving the quality of education for children with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English.
Salary and Fringe Benefits:
Initial appointment will normally be made on a renewable 24-month contract.
Remuneration is competitive and will be based on qualifications and relevant experience. The College offers group medical insurance and dental, staff development support and annual leave to eligible appointee(s).
