Job Description
The Law Society seeks applications from enthusiastic and responsible person to fill the challenging position of Officer in Member Services Department.
Job Duties:
- To assist in the organization of functions and activities, classes, seminars, webinars, receptions and other functions of the Department;
- To work with external parties including PR agencies and other service providers;
- To assist in initiatives and projects identified and/or relevant to the Department (including IT related projects);
- To assist in the application and operation of government funding schemes for the benefit of the profession/members;
- To arrange and participate in meetings of committees and working parties; draft agenda, papers and minutes and perform work incidental thereto;
- To prepare budgets, reports and proposals;
- To handle phone calls from members and public; and
- To assist the Department in providing services to and advancing interests of its members.
Requirements:
- A degree holder with at least 4 years' experience in event management;
- Additional experience in customer service is an advantage;
- Independent and a good team player; strong communication skills and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- A good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Proficiency in computer skills including MS Office and Chinese Word Processing;
- Travelling may be required; and
- Immediate availability is preferred.
