Responsibilities

Supply Chain

• Lead a supply chain team both domestically and internationally
• Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for large molecule and vaccines and drug substance manufactured externally, ensuring alignment with company's overall supply strategy
• Optimize performance and help to drive overall business growth through innovation
• Implement big data analysis and process enhancements to continuously improve supply chain efficiency, ensuring optimal product placement and timely delivery.
• Developing a long-term supply chain strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives, ensuring scalability and adaptability.
• Deliver annual service KPIs and financial budgets across company operations, direct carriers, freight, transport and consumables
• Overseeing the sourcing and procurement activities, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and optimizing costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Management of supplier’s capacity and production plans for on time delivery
• Responsibility for onboarding process, ensuring all proposed suppliers meet the needs of the business
• Management and mitigation of supply base risk for short and long-term lead sourcing enabling agility and profitability
• Management of the supplier scorecard and setting supplier KPIs (key performance indicators) while also undertaking regular supplier reviews and taking appropriate action where necessary
• Supplier introduction, onboarding, development, and ongoing relationship management
• Responsible for delivering material development activities and is accountable for the execution of the allocated programs to bring projects through to commercialisation
• Ensures that the material development process is carried out such that project timelines are met
• Responsible for delivering Material requirements for any new materials introduced in products developed

Merchandising & purchasing

• Manage and lead our logistics team to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies for technology products;
• Oversee logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management;
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in the different locations;
• Analyze market trends to anticipate changes in supply and demand and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly;
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their product needs and provide support;
• Provide regular reporting and analysis on logistics performance and KPIs
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements
• Manage warehouse operations including inventory management and distribution
• Develop and implement comprehensive materials planning and scheduling strategies, taking into account project timelines, production capacity and inventory levels

Desired Skills And Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
• More than 15 years of experience in different large size companies and 5 years’ experience relevant to agriculture company with similar role
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of the leadership style required to support an employee-owned and people-centric culture.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships.
• Experience in a matrix environment that allows influence and collaboration with areas and departments not in the direct reporting structure.
• Demonstrated success in driving process improvement and operational efficiencies.
• Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
• Ability to travel up to 50%
