Hong Kong New Music Ensemble is a small not-for-profit arts organisation funded by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. HKNME is committed to organising live performances, recording projects, and educational outreach programmes yearly to promote contemporary classical music to local and international audiences. We are currently searching for a full-time accountant to join our compact team.  www.hknme.org 

Main Responsibilities

• Provide financial support to the team, preparing set of books and accounts for the company
• Perform and monitor daily accounting functions 
• Review budgets, liaise with external auditors, and perform annual tax filing
• Assist in compiling regular financial reports for the company’s Board of Directors

Qualifications/ Skills
 

• Degree in Accounting or related discipline
• 1-2 years’ relevant working experience preferred (fresh graduates may be considered)
• Well-organised, efficient, independent, motivated, and detail-oriented
• Pleasant personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using XERO and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese
• An interest in and knowledge of classical music will be an added advantage.

Contract period

This is an 18-month fixed-term contract position, with the possibility of renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance.

Negotiable based on experience.
