Reporting to the Senior Manager (Enforcement), the Assistant Manager will undertake the following:

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the investigation of, bringing disciplinary proceedings, or criminal prosecution against insurance intermediaries or authorized insurers for contraventions of the Insurance Ordinance and related legislation, and misconduct
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management to facilitate the administration and performance of the statutory functions of IA

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, banking and finance, economics, law or related disciplines
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in legal, compliance, enforcement, anti- money laundering and counter-terrorist financing(AML/CTF) or regulatory field. Prior experience with a financial regulator is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of the local regulatory requirements, insurance products, industry practices and market dynamics relating to the insurance business, local AML/CTF legal and regulatory requirements, including the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Ordinance and related guidelines.
• Strong analytical, writing, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• A strong team player with an ability to work under pressure.
• Good commend of written and spoken English and Chinese This is a contract position for a term of up to 1 year.
