Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Officer to manage Compensation and Benefits (C&B) for their China business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compensation strategies and benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate employees while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Compensation Management:

  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation packages.
  • Analyze and maintain salary structures, pay policies, and incentive programs.
  • Support the annual salary review process, including performance evaluations and merit increases.

Benefits Administration:

  • Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to ensure effective delivery of benefits.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of benefits programs and recommend improvements as needed.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports on compensation and benefits data for management review.
  • Assist in audits and compliance assessments related to C&B.

Employee Communication:

  • Educate employees about compensation and benefits programs, policies, and changes.
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns related to compensation and benefits in a timely manner.
  • Develop communication materials to promote understanding of C&B programs.

HR Projects:

  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives that support organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with other HR team members to ensure alignment of C&B strategies with overall HR objectives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4 years of experience in Compensation and Benefits or HR management.
  • Familiar with the PRC Individual Income Tax (IIT) filing and Hong Kong tax filing and returns for stationing and frequent traveling staff is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of local labor laws and regulations regarding C&B, with a specific emphasis on Chinese labor laws.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
