The Job

• Develop and maintain positive relationship with local media, covering print, electronic, social and online streams
• Work closely with different business divisions and units to develop positive media coverage
• Propose, manage and implement media engagement initiatives, such as press conferences, media gatherings, media tours, interviews and day-to-day media communications
• Manage and handle media enquiries, prepare replies to stakeholders’ complaints;
• Develop press materials, such as factsheets, Lines-to-take, QAs and messages for media engagement and issue management purposes
• Manage and monitor media coverage
• Plan and organise corporate-level events
• Prepare article write-ups / speeches for corporate events, key media channels and industry publications

The Person

• Bachelor degree or above in Journalism, Communications, Translation or related disciplines
• Minimum 10 years’ solid experience in corporate communication, media and public affairs with sizable organizations, of which at least 4 years in managerial role
• Excellent communications and writing skills with high proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese
• Expertise in media relations with outstanding story pitching skills
• Sensitive to political climate and public affairs, especially housing and planning issues
• Excellent project management skills
• Proven track record and achievement in communicating with the press and coordinating media campaigns
• Able to handle multi tasks and deliver quality work in a fast-paced work environment, deadline conscious
• Strong critical and analytical thinking skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
