Responsibilities

  1. Cleaning Operations
  • Oversee and manage the cleaning activities across designated region (districts within HK)
  • Responsible for cleaning team to manage cleaning contractors, effectively leading the operational delivery of all cleaning service & improving cleaning standards
  • Ensure the day-to-day cleaning meets the specification 
  • Review work schedules when necessary   
  • Establish standard checks and balances like work schedules, material and equipment list, training records etc. 
  • Provide training assistance where required to ensure best practise cleaning methods are performed
  • Check on Cleaning Contractor KPI: ensuring established standards are maintained
  • Prepare regular reporting on productivity benchmarking   

2. Pest Control Operations

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the contractors across designated region (districts within HK)
  • Ensure the day-to-day pest control to meets the food safety and client's specification                 
  • Manage the contractors from end to end including service and price                                    
  • Manage the day-to-day escalations from various stakeholders to provide a high-quality service through sound resolutions in line with contractual scope                              
  • Inspect buildings and premises for signs of pests or infestation & pest issues & Determine the type of treatment 
  • Provide technical assistance relating to pest control services when required                                                            
  • Assist in Pest Control checking on PCO services and reporting discrepancies                            
  • Provide regular reporting on productivity benchmarking & pest issues reporting
  • Checking on PCO KPI ensuring established standards are maintained   

 

2. Cost Management

  • Support Head of Department to manage the leaning, Pest Control PPM and Ad-Hoc Budget
  • Deliver cost savings through job costings, productivity improvements and rationalisation of procedures and processes                     
  • Check on the standing orders including mop colour, uniform, work permits, janitor trolley

 

3.OH&S

  • Monitor & Ensure OH&S compliance through correct application and implementation of OH&S policies and procedures
  • Report all workplace safety hazards to the Facilities Manager
  • Ensure Cleaning Leading Hands are conducting daily Toolbox talks with Cleaning team members

4.Team Leadership

  • Provide leadership to the cleaning services team by:
    • Ensuring the team understand performance targets and goals
    • Reinforcing quality and customer service standards
    • Ensuring that team members are properly trained for their roles
    • Providing direct coaching and support to Leading Hands
    • Providing real-time feedback on team member performance
    • Assisting in recruitment activities
    • Identifying and resolving workplace problems, including tardiness or absenteeism
    • Addressing any disciplinary issues with the support of the HOD and HR
    • Addressing any grievances raised by team members, escalating to the HOD where appropriate
    • Support HOD to communicate with relevance stake holders on cleaning activities progress

5.Quality and Standards

  • Ensure that problems and process breakdowns are fully examined and that improvements are integrated into relevant work processes.
  • Establish an environment that encourages continuous improvement and quality outcomes.
  • Identify new ways to deliver upgrades in quality and service.

 


Requirements

  • Degree/Associate Degree/Higher Diploma or above in Business Administration/ Facility/ Property Management or related disciplines is preferred
  • Cleaning Operations Management Certificate is preferred
  • Driving licence is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in cleaning/food service industries is essential
  • Minimum of 5 years’ supervision experience of dynamic team in customer service industry is essential
  • Proven high level of customer service and management skills across diverse team/skill set is essential
  • Strong working relationship with key stakeholders in busy environment is essential
  • Proven experience in managing ‘hard floor’ clean environment is preferred
  • Staff and Roster management experience is preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in verbal & written English and Cantonese / Mandarin
  • Intermediate to advance in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) is essential
  • Occasionally conduct night inspection is required
