Job Description
What you'll do in the role:
• Develop staff, lead projects and control deployment of resources, owning management tools/methods such as work queues, checklists, depth charts and calendars
• Set direction and expectations for your team(s), defining training plans and transfer of expert knowledge to contribute to team output and development
• Contribute to business plan for area, establish risk/contingency plans, raise and address issues with urgency when required
• Build and manage relationships with clients and internal stakeholders that include but not limited to, Sales, Credit, BU Risk, COO's, KYC/AML to ensure a timely and smooth client onboarding experience.
• Organize and lead face-to-face meetings with clients and key senior managers within our organization for prioritization, escalation management and to share BU updates
• Partner with our global counterparts to identify key issues, trends and efficiency opportunities that can be addressed with clients/BUs with the goal of enhancing entire onboarding process
• Lead projects and initiatives that will further advance the Onboarding strategic vision of providing value added services to our clients
• Maintain active dialogue with various vendor relationships and industry utilities across product and functional areas
• Look for client / business operational efficiencies and commercial opportunities
What you'll bring to the role:
• At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
• Strong relationship building skills serving as a role model for client service
• Ability to think commercially, understand the impact of initiatives, risks on the operational budget
• Experience in managing teams, enhancing control, continuous improvement and reducing operational risk
• Culture carrier and role model, representing and leading the Firm's core values to influence and motivate those around you
• Experience in financial industry within Operations roles. Client onboarding, Client relationship management and Project Management experience preferred
• Technical understanding of transaction lifecycle in one or more asset classes (Rates, Credit and Equity Derivatives Swaps, FX, Sec Lending, Commodities) preferred
• Proven experience with external institutional client communication and interaction
• Ability to work across global departments to build credibility and strong relationships
• Strong analytical, numerical and inter personal skills
• Prioritization and time management skills
• Problem solving through initiative and tenacity
• Ability to multi-task and grasp new concepts quickly
• Ability to work under pressure and achieve results, whilst maintaining a professional, friendly and client focused approach
