Responsibilities:

Strategic sourcing and procurement: 

• Develop and implement overall buying strategy in alignment with company’s goal.   
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and secure the best terms of pricing, delivery and quality.
• Plan and supervise all sea and air shipments from Thailand to Hong Kong including schedule, costings, and import regulations conformation

Supplier relationship management: 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long term partnerships.
• Negotiation of trading terms, sole agent terms and marketing support.
• Team Leadership and Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop buying team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to succeed.
• Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluation.

Budget Management: 

• Manage sales budget, profit margins, minimize shrinkage and loss, optimize inventory level. 
• Merchandise management: 
• Optimize the company’s assortment mix with competitive pricing vs. Competitors.
• Increase category penetration, drive sales and margin, enhance competitive edges and capitalize market opportunities thru new product.

Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in the procurement process.
• Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, including key metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and new projects.
• Analyze buying trends and adjust strategies as necessary to meet evolving business needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field. 
• At least 7 years’ experience in merchandising / buying & category management / business management 
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Deep understanding of retail, market trends, and supply chain dynamics.
• Good analytical mindset with strong decision-making capabilities.
• Strong written and spoken command of both Chinese and English.
