BBPOS is one of the world leaders in payment devices and the inventors of mPOS technology. BBPOS products are used by large retailers and leading online platforms across multiple industries.  BBPOS is engaged in the business of manufacturing and supplying mobile and smart point-of-sale hardware, and the underlying software and infrastructure to deploy, manage, and monitor those devices.  BBPOS is now part of Stripe’s Terminal business since the acquisition in March 2022. 

About the team

Post acquisition, the BBPOS team is now an extension of the Stripe Terminal team.  Stripe Terminal helps Stripe users extend their online presence into the physical world. The Terminal team’s mission is to make it as easy for businesses to accept in-person payments as the Stripe API has done for online payments. With Terminal, businesses can unlock in-person payments use cases that are right for their business model—whether it’s creating a flagship retail experience, extending their website to a pop-up store, or enabling a mobile point-of-sale at their next event.

What we are looking for

BBPOS is looking for a passionate, self motivated and hard working Data Analyst to be part of a diverse, dynamic and high energy team. The work is in a highly collaborative and multi- functional environment, handling several projects at a time. The successful candidate will be experienced in Quality management systems, Data analysis techniques and quality assurance methodologies. Reporting directly to the quality vice president. The role will require occasional travel. 

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for quality data analysis and prepare a dashboard for management review. Being comfortable in a rapidly evolving and dynamic environment coupled with excellent communication skills are essential to the role. You will foster and build an excellent communication and working relationship with our global Stripe partners.

• Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and analyze data related to quality metrics, identifying trends and anomalies.
• Reporting & Visualization: Create and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor quality performance and progress.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide insights.
• Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy through regular audits and validation processes.
• Process Improvement: Use data findings to recommend and implement quality improvements.
• Dashboard maintenance and optimization
• Setup search engine for quality data enquiry

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a quality or manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to communicate complex data insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards).
• Experience in process improvement and quality assurance.
• Familiarity with machine learning and predictive modeling
• Quality qualification would be an advantage.
