Job Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President of Global Electronics Sourcing, this role will have lead responsibility in Asia for all aspects of strategic sourcing and purchasing execution of electronic components supporting all business units of TTI. 

The role will manage the Hong Kong and Dongguan-based Global Electronics Sourcing team for critical components such as MCUs, FETs, motor controllers, sensors, ICs and other components. This role will be based in either Hong Kong or Houjie Town, Dongguan, PRC and will require weekly travel between the locations. Additional travel to the PRC, Vietnam, USA, and Mexico may also be required on a quarterly basis. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Dongguan and Hong-Kong based team of 15 electronics category buyers, managers, project leadership, and data analytics members 
• Responsible for regular relationship management with key component manufacturers and distributors; maintain positive relationships with other TTI sourcing team for PCBAs
• Execute purchasing responsibilities to maximize supply continuity, growth potential, and profitability of all business units (BU) of TTI 
• Coordinate and build strong relationships with other groups in Asia-based supply chain, engineering, and marketing functions of all business units to consolidate both production and NPD-forecasts and ensure high fill rates and other delivery metrics 
• Routinely communicate with component manufacturers, distributors, and PCBA contract manufacturers to validate inventory buffer, forecasts, backlogs, and when necessary pull-in or push out supply/backlogs 
• Consolidate and report monthly metrics related to spending, PPV, inventory, contract status and other critical issues requiring escalation to senior management
• Manage the existing electronics supplier base with regular interactions and identify other high-potential future suppliers 
• Drive continuous improvement to key metrics including cost reduction/PPV, lead time, service level, quality DPPM, payment terms, and inventory 
• Support new product development by working with a cross-functional team that includes Engineering, Marketing, Quality, Operations, and Finance to successfully develop and execute new product launches
• Assist in the creation of and drive adherence to global category strategies, identifying new potential partnerships and maintaining/strengthening existing relationships 
• Drive digital integration project through project leadership team that will automate data collection and enhance the overall efficiency of information flow among CMs, distributors, and component manufacturers

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Purchasing / Supply Chain / Business Management / Electrical Engineering preferred
• Experience sourcing electronic or other high-mix technical components (5+ years)
• Experience managing PRC and/or Hong Kong-based teams
• Electrical engineering background or experience in the semiconductor industry is ideal 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven recommendations that support business strategy 
• Strong spreadsheet (XLS) and presentation (PPT) skills, including the ability to make and present executive-level summaries and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Candidates with less experience may consider for the position of Manager / Senior Manager level
