My client, a leading International Investment Bank, is currently expanding their FinOps Optimisation team in HK. As part of a global team, you will support the analysis, planning and execution of optimisation tactics, as well as the following:

Responsibilities

• Work with value streams and platform teams, and business lines to develop and implement FinOps tactics to optimise their external Cloud, internal Cloud and on-premises infrastructure consumption and spend.
• Work collaboratively with business lines to understand their business drivers, roadmaps, technical architecture, etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technology, Finance, Procurement, and Business units, to drive alignment of initiatives with organizational goals and priorities.
• Monitor performance metrics and conduct analysis to identify opportunities for performance optimization, scalability improvements, and resource right-sizing.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in infrastructure financial management. Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools, methodologies, and strategies to optimize operations and drive innovation.

Requirements

• Excellent understanding and experience of at least one of the major external cloud providers’ product and pricing offerings (AWS, GCP, Azure, Alicloud).
• Hands on experience with Apptio Cloudability, Apptio One or similar cost management/billing tools.
• Knowledge of Cloud Financial Operation concepts and best practices (preferably Certified FinOps Practitioner)
• Knowledge of On-Premises infrastructure cost management, capacity utilisation and performance analysis.
• Excellent understanding and practical experience of Reserved Instances, Committed Use Discounts (CUDs), Savings Plans from at least one of the major external cloud providers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, formidable stakeholder management skills and experience with strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
