Who we are looking for

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly driven individual that has a strong understanding of different aspects of the power distribution system and is driven to deliver exciting projects for major clients within Hong Kong.

Role Purpose:

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing tender responses and taking a leading role in the delivery of projects for a variety of clients. They must liaise closely with site teams to ensure work is completed on time and meets all the necessary quality and safety standards.

• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff in a multi-cultural environment.
• Able to work independently and be proactive in thinking of solutions to problems.

Desirable qualifications for the role:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Registered Electrical Worker H0 licence
• 8+ years of relevant working experience
• Experience of delivering projects relating to switchgear, transformers, substations, cable jointing and overhead line is desirable
• Experience of delivering projects for CLP and MTR is desirable
• Member of Hong Kong Institute of Engineers is desirable
• Holder of Valid green card and Construction Workers Registration Card`
• Valid Hong Kong driving license (Class 1 and 2) is preferred
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications 
• Ability to communicate technical concepts in English and Chinese, verbally and written
• Ability to write method statements, conduct risk assessments and produce high quality project documentation

Key Accountabilities 

• Review client EOIs and Tender documents to determine if the company can deliver projects 
• Carry out site visits, assess potential risk and work closely with the Project Manager to develop technical and commercial submissions for tenders
• Clearly communicate with management throughout the tendering process 
• Develop relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their pipeline of work and how the company can support with resolving their challenges
• Support the Project Manager with the delivery of projects which includes site visits to ensure progress against schedule is maintained and all safety and quality standards are being adhered to
• Coordinate with all relevant working parties such as subcontractors, direct team and client 
• Develop and communicate method statements for site teams to follow
• Provide engineering support and solutions to site teams
• Where necessary, receive permits to work
• Work with the procurement team to ensure project equipment and materials are delivered on time
• Prepare project documentation such as method statements, risk assessments, completion reports, etc  
• Ensure all designs and systems comply with relevant regulations and safety standards
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and methodologies in electrical engineering to enhance skills and improve processes
• Champion and promote the implementation and use of new systems and mobile applications
• Attend client meetings as and when required
• Travel to project sites as necessary to gather data and interface with clients.
• Carry out any adhoc work as and when required
