Director / Senior Manager (Construction Engineering and Safety)

About the Company:

Our client is a renowned property developer known for its award-winning residential, commercial and hospitality projects. This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated team in ensuring the highest standards of construction engineering and safety across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Construction, Engineering and Safety Management department, providing cross-project control and ensuring compliance with company-wide standards.
• Develop and implement standardized policies and procedures for construction programs, with a strong focus on safety.
• Serve as the main liaison with the headquarters, coordinating on policy, procedure, and standards.
• Lead a team of professionals, including MEP Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Designers, to support project-specific design and engineering needs.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Management team to monitor day-to-day safety controls on site.
• Ensure construction planning, programming, and workmanship meet company standards through regular site inspections.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Property Management, and other stakeholders on building testing, commissioning, handover activities, and defect rectification follow-ups.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Building, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Chartered membership in a recognized professional institution.
• At least 15 years of experience in the building and construction industry, with a minimum of 8 years in site supervision and management.
• Strong leadership, site management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken Chinese and English.
• Strong computer skills.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Senior Manager position.
