Role Purpose:

Assistant Engineer assists the Engineer in various task. Assist Engineer to determine the project requirement, provide technical advice for the project and liaise between workers and provide instruction to worker to perform the duties. 

Necessary skills for the role:

• Fresh graduates of relevant degree are welcome
• Processing to HKIE or equivalent professional membership/qualification or current student membership 
• Able to perform requirement analysis
• Good understanding of the operation and maintenance practices and processes in the power stations, and conversant with the basic engineering principles behind the various processes of electrical power generation is preferred. 
• Previous exposure in safety, health and environmental requirements pertaining to maintenance and project works in the generation industry is advantageous. 
• Hands-on contractual & commercial knowledge associated with contract execution and contractor management. 
• Strong analytical, interpersonal and negotiation skills and self-driven team player seeking to build a career in Hargreaves. 
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese. 
• Computer literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
• Immediate available will be preferred.
• Knowledge of CAD, CAD/CAM. 
• Good Command of spoken and written English and Chinese

Desirable qualifications for the role:

• A recognized Engineering Degree

Impact and Key Deliverables:

Scope of the impact the role has (e.g. financial, staff, geographical spread)

• Supervise Hargreaves’ workforce and subcontractors and be accountable for the safe and quality execution works at our clients’ sites. 
• Responsible in development, planning and execution of various plant upgrade and refurbishment projects. 
• Manage expenditures and compilation of budgets. 

Impact and Key Deliverables:

 Scope of the impact the role has (e.g. financial, staff, geographical spread)

• Liaise with subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure project works are executed to meet the company business needs and statutory requirements. 
• Lead the development and execution of some small scale projects and repair works.
• Work closely with Engineers for tasks design   
• Responsible to handle all paper works according to site requirements throughout the projects.
