A leading commercial bank is hiring an AVP/VP for their Regulatory Reporting team.

My client is a leading commercial bank, is seeking a highly experienced and motivated individual to join our regulatory reporting team as an Assistant Vice President/ Vice President. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and timely submission of all regulatory reports to local and international authorities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review HKMA banking returns on timely basis
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, guidelines, and standards
- Develop and maintain robust reporting frameworks, processes, and controls to ensure accuracy and reliability of reported data
- Get involved in system UAT related to regulatory reporting
- Analyze regulatory changes and trends, and proactively implement necessary adjustments to reporting processes
- Lead a team of reporting specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management
- Represent the team in meetings with regulators and internal stakeholders, effectively communicating reporting-related matters

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory reporting, banking experience is a must
- Strong understanding of local and international regulatory requirements, including Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex reporting frameworks
- Proficient in the use of data analysis tools and reporting software
- Proven track record of leading and motivating high-performing teams
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification is preferred
