Hong Kong Internet Registration Corporation Limited (HKIRC), a non-profit making and non-statutory corporation responsible for the overall administration of “.hk” domain names in Hong Kong. HKIRC is also responsible for the on-going liaison with local and international bodies on issues relating to the development and administration of Internet domain name systems.  We are looking for highly motivated and independent candidates for the position of: 

Responsibilities: 

• Perform daily system monitoring and operation tasks, system administration 
• Participate in system infrastructure architecture design and enhancements 
• Set up and conduct proof-of-concept testing and evaluation on test-beds for assessing new technology, technical standards and products 
• Support Wintel & Linux (Redhat, Ubuntu), Virtualization technologies (VMWare), Storage (Dell, HDS), Backup Technology (Veam & Avamar) 
• Perform system administration on VMware ESXi, Windows Server, Linux, Backup, Storage; conduct patch management 
• 7x24 operation support standby for Data center BAU operation 
• Develop operation procedures to ensure proper control, ITSM, risk management, system and data security are in place for all IT infrastructure and data center operation. 
• Support IT Projects such as DR Drill, BCP, Application Release 

Requirements: 

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent 
• 3 years hands-on experience in VMware ESXi, Windows Server, Linux, Storage / Backup in large scale network 
• Working experience in VMWare, SAN, Cisco-based network equipment, Linux, Microsoft Windows Server, O365, Cloudflare, AWS and Azure 
• Knowledge in Windows & Linux platforms and scripting using shell/Python/Powershell 
• Extensive knowledge in IT security, knowledge in ISO27001 and ITIL is preferred 
• Experience in MS Window servers, Office365, SCCM, Active Directory integrated DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP and WINS operation. 
• Knowledge in IT security, ISO27001 and ITIL is preferred 
• Certificate Holder of MCSE+ / Cloud platform (e.g. Azure Administrator) is an advantages 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
