Our client is a leading Fintech Company in Hong Kong. To cope with their rapid expansion in Hong Kong. They are looking for a VP, Development Lead (Java & C++) to drive front office trading platform system development. Candidate with Securities Firm or HKEX Broker Supplied System (BSS) Vendor experience are highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team, setting the technical vision and direction for the project
• Architect and design software solutions, ensuring they are scalable, maintainable, and efficient
• Design, develop and support front-office trading applications, low-latency applications
• Develop Real-Time Stock Market Financial application
• Partner closely with traders, quants and other development teams
• Expose to the business in understanding and learning the business logic
• Participate in the entire application development lifecycle across concept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support
• Perform coding, debugging, and functional testing of the applications
• Support and troubleshoot for traders and front office users
• Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing your expertise and best practices
• Collaborate with the project manager, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, software development methodologies, and best practices
• Perform code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimizations
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing timely and effective solutions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and industry best practices in Java and C++

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related disciplines
• 8 years or above working experience
• Knowledge in C++, Python, Java, Redis & SQL database
• Hands-on experience in development using C++ and Java 
• Knowledge in Cash & Derivative market
• A team lead with leadership, project management exposure who is also hand on in programming
• Good communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
