We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to work on a large Data Migration project, as part of the Unstructured Data team. Ideally, you will have a strong engineering background with hands-on experience in ETL, data mining, data cleansing, and experience with large-scale data migration projects. This opportunity represents a chance to fully utilize a range of technical skills, as well as the chance to work alongside senior stakeholders and internal/external teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop data pipelines to convert unstructured data into structured formats for downstream processing.
• Optimize data output processes for speed and scalability to meet performance requirements.
• Implement data cleaning and transformation processes for unstructured datasets.
• Work closely with the structured data team to ensure data consistency and integrity.
• Provide hands-on support during production to actively troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Engage in meetings with vendors/PMO, external stakeholders.
• Ensure smooth operation of systems and ensure timely resolution of any technical challenges.
• Guide and mentor junior team members to effectively resolve any production issues and promote best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle and SQL is preferred; experience with other SQL databases is accepted.
• Proven track record in hands-on troubleshooting and production support.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and data management principles.
• Experience working with unstructured data is a big plus.
• Experience with vendor/stakeholder management is a big plus.
• Fluency in BOTH English and Cantonese is a must. Non-Cantonese speakers will not be considered.
