Responsibilities

• Network administration (including backup, internet access, office systems and applications support).
• Respond to user requests through telephone calls, email or personal visits to relevant locations, for assistance with system-related concerns.
• Support and improve efficiency of server and desktop hardware, software and applications.
• Support and optimise network infrastructure, LAN and WAN.
• Perform technology needs analysis.
• Roll out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources.
• Identify opportunities where IT may assist users in increasing efficiency and operating more effectively within the company, and produce of proposals for such services.
• Manage small to medium sized projects according to agreed-upon budgets and schedules.
• Assists with technology planning through on-going research
• Provide on-site support at all locations during business hours and otherwise where problems dictate.
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
• Perform additional assignments and responsibilities as assumed or requested by supervision.

Requirements

• Demonstrated working knowledge of current communication devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies, e-commerce, web hosting and related business processes
• Demonstrated knowledge of Windows servers and desktop products
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, numeracy and logic skills
• Ability to negotiate hardware/software service and technical support contracts with vendors.
• Proactive, highly organized, resilient, tenacious, persuasive and diplomatic
• Able to recognise and handle sensitive issues with a wide range of people
• Able to communicate effectively across the organisation
• Able to work effectively and responsibly without close supervision and with minimal guidance
• Able to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities under pressure
• Capacity for initiative and innovation
• Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
• Good communication skills in English, Mandarin
