The new Fundraising Officer will work closely with and report to the Director of External Relations to design and deliver a fundraising strategy that supports the development of Justice Centre Hong Kong. Activities include but are not limited to:

•  Securing high-value individual giving by networking and producing concept notes and presentations to pitch to high-value individual donors.
•  Attracting additional corporate donors and developing, delivering and pitching proposals to garner their support.
• Designing and delivering a series of high profile events, including the Human Rights Arts Prize, to attract supporters, raise funds for and awareness of human rights and Justice Centre Hong Kong. 
• Increasing individual giving by developing and promoting Justice Centre Hong Kong’s new online giving platform and by producing and disseminating communications and materials which encourage individual giving and fundraising events by individuals.
• Accurately, timely & effectively reporting to current grantees and trusts and foundations in order to maintain current funding levels and secure long-term grants. 
• Creating and delivering online fundraising appeals. 
• Developing and maintaining donor database to monitor giving.
• Researching, identifying and applying to potential grant bodies to garner new long-term funding (3-5 years) for advocacy and core service delivery work.
• Building a fundraising element into our campaigns work.
• Using traditional media and social media tools to amplify fundraising objectives and contribute to Justice Centre Hong Kong’s general communications work – including acting as media spokesperson, when appropriate. 

Key skills and qualifications 

• A demonstrable passion and commitment for human rights is essential. 
• Flexibility, team spirit and ability to work off own initiative is a must. 
• Excellent written and verbal communications in English are necessary. 
• First class networking and public speaking skills are crucial. 
• Knowledge of spoken and written Cantonese is an advantage. 
• A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is desirable and minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role essential. 
• A permit to work in Hong Kong is preferable. 

Applications for both part-time (3 days per week) and full-time (five days per week) will be considered.

Salary $HK25,000 per month pro rata + benefits, including medical and dental insurance.
