Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and implementation of sponsorship and sales for the Hong Kong International Film Festival, Hong Kong – Asia Film Financing Forum, and other activities of the Society;
  • Responsible for private cash and in-kind fundraising in the form of advertising, donations, grants and corporate sponsorships for the Society;
  • Identify and secure key sponsors and other funding sources and marketing opportunities to expand and develop the activities of the HKIFF Society;
  • Manage and liaise with marketing and sponsorship consultants appointed by the HKIFF Society;
  • Organize and manage long-term partner and client development and relationships with sponsors, patrons and donors, business partners;
  • Effectively execute the delivery of sponsors’ contracts and entitlements;
  • Develop sponsorship outreach plan, sponsorship marketing materials, packages, entitlements structure and prepare sponsorship and sales contracts;
  • Maintain a sponsor and market intelligence database to provide after-sales client service and build long-term relationships with sponsors;
  • Secure revenue deals through the preparation and execution of proposals and presentations, including the fulfillment of entitlements to corporate sponsors, patrons, foundations, private and public sectors;
  • Prepare reports and analyses on sales and sponsorship programme;
  • Prepare sponsor reports and thank you packages to all sponsors post-event; and
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor and / or management from time to time.

 

Requirements:

  • University graduate or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years of related working experience;
  • Experience with film festival or arts and events related fundraising is a bonus;
  • Impeccable organizational and management skills to manage projects and staff in order to achieve sales targets;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
  • Outgoing, team-player with a proven ability to meet deadlines under pressure in a fast paced environment;
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua;
  • Proficient in PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint); and
  • Required to work overtime and irregular hours including full-day work on weekends and public holidays during certain periods.
