In this Management Team function, you as a people manager are responsible for the daily guidance of theAvio-Diepen Hong Kong commercial organization. You have a clear vision on the Asian Pacific market, supply chain issues, and in cooperation with the Management define the sales and marketing strategy. As a sparring partner and coach, you help the team excel in their work. You keep a close eye on the market share, developments, and signal business opportunities, which you translate into concrete sales targets. Using your persuasiveness, efficient mentality and organizational skills, you are capable to further professionalize the sales department and stimulate internal synergy. You are leading in the transformation process to SCM service provider.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operations and performance of the Sales Department;
  • Developing and realization of the near and mid term objectives for the department, including but not limited to the sales budget;
  • Deployment of material management services and specific sales cases. Those are agreed upon in the Sales Department Plan;
  • Preparation and execution of the Sales Department Plan which ahs to address how your team will achieve the (long term) Strategic obligations of the Budget Plan/Location Plan over time;
  • Stimulating initiative and create a pro-active attitude in the group reporting to you including a customer focused attitude;
  • Meet or exceed the targets for Bookings Billings Margins for your territory. Numbers as well as the quality theredof;
  • Determining the training needs of the group assigned to you and initiate action to fulfill the identified training needs;
  • Evaluating the performance, capabilities, attitude and career possibilities of each employee assigned to you (according to the Management Timeline);
  • Coaching the account managers in developing account plans incorporating the (agreed) requirements and expectations of the customer, setting strategic sales objectives per customer as well as the sales budget. Review performance on quarterly/semi-annual basis;
  • Reporting on key performance indicators to the GM/BoD member Marketing & Sales;
  • Taking up any other tasks and projects assigned by GM from time to time.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree holder in Sales/Marketing or related disciplines, MBA is preferred
  • At least 10+ years in sales and/or marketing experience in aviation industry in Asia Pacific
  • Repair Management Experience would be an asset
  • Excellent in English and Chinese (Both Written and Spoken including Mandarin)
  • Excellent PC skills on MSOffice (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc)
  • Willingness to travel (50% of the time)
  • Concrete, international management experience
  • Decisive, result oriented and entrepreneurship
  • Strong communication skills and people oriented
  • Strong affinity with the Aerospace industry and SCM
