Job Description

Responsibilities:-

The Manager of the Channel Management will lead the team to provide excellent support for all distribution channels (Bancassurace, IFA, Aviva Advisors) and ensure they fulfill the regulatory obligations in Aviva Hong Kong.

  • Lead the development of channel initiatives through incentives and services that will grow Aviva’s position in the market and the achievement of sales and profitability targets.
  • Ensure that the Distribution Channels fulfill its regulatory obligations and meet Distribution Business standards and is well managed within the Risk and Compliance framework.
  • Set up control framework for Aviva Advisors to ensure that sales quality is in place, recruitment process meets regulatory guidelines and exit processes are performed in a timely manner and these are compliant.
  • Work closely with Legal and compliance to ensure all Distribution Agreement and advisor agreements are properly executed and records are properly maintained.
  • Manage the resources necessary to provide the required functional, strategic and project support to the business unit.
  • Provide key reports for incentive payouts, production bonuses to Finance department. Work closely with Finance to ensure payment of Incentive, Production Bonus, Advisor remuneration and commission payments are made timely and accurately.
  • Ensure timely issuance and termination of Agent codes as requested by partner firms.
  • Provide training support by setting up the facilities, preparation of attendance sheets and training material.
  • Ensure that production reports are generated timely and accurately for Aviva Partners.
  • Work closely with finance and actuarial to ensure Sales and management reports are generated timely and accurately for sales tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Work closely with business partners to ensure the needs of our partners are managed and expectations met.


Requirements:-

  • Min. 8 years working experience in life insurance industry, specifically in the sales support, compensation and sales compliance areas
  • Good knowledge of the different distribution channels in insurance industry, experience in IFA or agency environment preferred
  • Experienced in people management and project management essential
  • Strong analytical and business fundamentals
  • Well organized and independent
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Good command of both written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • University graduate with Insurance Qualifications an advantage, e.g. LOMA, CII or relevant experience
