The job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals and spearheading purchasing activities such as formulating purchasing objectives/strategies, strategic sourcing, new vendor development, evaluation of bids/quotations, identifying cost savings opportunities, contract negotiation, vendor selection and management, etc. He/She will also participate in cross-functional teams and ad hoc projects.

Our major suppliers/business partners are multinationals or forerunners in IT and telecommunications. He/She should have insight into relevant market trends and work closely with business units to understand their requirements. He/She will develop and execute the procurement plan and support these business operations.

The successful candidate should have/be: 

• Purchasing, Technical, Engineering or Business Degree holder with at least 8-10 years’ solid experience in which 3 years at managerial level of multinational organizations
• Exposure in complex contract negotiation
• Capable of managing procurement projects independently and lead a cross-functional team during the procurement process
• Prefer to have experiences in specific industry procurement experiences such as travel, or IT&T field
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
• Integrity, business acumen, and strong analytical skills
• Self-motivated and a good team player with initiative to work under very dynamic environment and tight deadlines
