Job Description

This position is responsible for daily operation of handling different requests from different clients. - Channel Services, Client Services and Media Management. On daily basis, coordinate with corresponding internal departments and external language dubbing vendors, as well as syndication/mobile/VOD/interactive client affiliates to process media materials workflow. Provide Media Asset management services in term of material tracking, status update, data integrity maintenance, media content distribution and trafficking. Respond to general enquiries to clients from internal and external. Process media material preparation and archiving of program master files for transmission.

Job Responsibilities:

Channel Services

  • Handle language dubbing/subtitling requirements on air masters for TruTV, TCM, WB and HD channel in English where traffic volume is lower.
  • Responsible for tracking and updating related departments (Programming, Post Production, Air Operations) on materials status; preparing and prioritizing the Transmission material dubbing and ensuring all on-air materials are ready on time.
  • Coordinate with Programming, MCR and Video departments on Censorship and Practice process by preparing and sending screeners via Turner Transit or Aspera to Mumbai office for preview; ensuring correct media versions are designated; retrieving and dispatching files or program masters to related departments for S&P edit; Media content processing logistic cycle follow-up.
  • Daily retrieval of back-up program files from archive system for TCM/TruTV/WB transmission back-up.

Media Asset Inventory Control

  • Handle general tape traffic such as receive and return program masters and hard drives.
  • Master files transfer from external hard drives to internal servers.
  • Update master material records to media management applications.
  • Ensure media materials are dispatched to recipients correctly.
  • Notify relevant parties on processing status of media contents.
  • Check consumable stock. Shelve and organize physical materials to ensure sufficient space for proper storage.

Media Asset Archiving and Metadata Management

  • Manipulate Digital files by relocating files to designated files libraries in near-line digital storage or other archiving server.
  • Assign proper naming convention to the files for archiving.
  • Assign media number to all media contents.
  • Retrieve and unzip files to respective users from Digital Archive Storage system on request.
  • Maintain sufficient online space for files processing and traffic.
  • Proxy files conversion, including MPEG-4 for promos H.264 for language dubbed program files.
  • Clone archived files for back up. Carry out regular maintenance for our Digital Archiving System.

 Media Asset Management

  • Follow established media materials workflow to process media contents for all TBSAP departments & regional groups likes CNK, CNJ and Content Sales. Log the arrival and dispatch of all media masters.
  • Process delivered media materials, status checking and updating, content distribution and trafficking, problem notification and follow-up.
  • Team up with assistant coordinators to provide daily circulation services & transmission support and maintain data integrity in our media management systems.

Client Services

  • Provide accurate and timely response to all clients and coordinate with related departments to follow up on operational issues.
  • Provide client services to all TBSAP departments & Time Warner groups on request of Media Production service by booking dubbing facilities, answering enquiries, preparing media materials, coordinating with Media Production on prioritization and schedule for media processing.
  • Provide follow-up services such as pouching of tapes, status checking and quality checking of media contents when required.
  • Create DVD copies from one to one or one to multi. Ship dubbed materials to external parties in accordance to requests by client departments.

 

Job Requirements:

 

  •  Bachelor Degree holder in Broadcasting, Media asset Management, IT, Logistic or Warehouse management is an advantage
  • Two years working experience with at least one year preferably in customer services or broadcasting industry.
  •  Knowledge in Media Materials or experiences in Media Management, library or digital archiving
  • Communicate effectively in English and Chinese (Cantonese)
  • Strong customer services experiences & good interpersonal communication skills
  • Awareness of schedule and deadlines
  • Ability in handling multi-tasks & attention to details
  •  Accuracy on data entry and sensitive to tape numbering and indexing nomenclature
  •  Knowledge in different medium or digital files
  • Hardworking, willing to work irregular hours and overtime, flexible
