Job Description

Specific Job Requirements

•   Performs order/entry and manages several sales spreadsheets associated with documenting and processing orders from wholesalers or direct accounts.

•   Handles general customer service inquiries and routes questions to appropriate resources within Gilead.

•   Works with Finance and Accounting to insure that product orders and shipments to customers are processed correctly and quickly.

•   Provides high quality customer focused phone coverage as well as maintaining excellent internal and external relationships supporting Gilead’s trade partners.

•   Works in conjunction with product and/or promotion management to ensure proper inventories of promotional materials and their timely shipment to field representatives and managers.

•   May be the first point of contact for triaging customer claims and complaints.

 

Key Differentiating Contributions

•   Provides operational support to the department, including timely and accurate input, tracking and processing of orders in internal database systems.

•   Interacts with external customers or vendors in conjunction with data exchanges, return requests, or other routine issues.

•   Processes orders from wholesales or direct accounts in a timely and accurate manner.

•   Supports preparation of materials for management meetings as well as ad hoc reporting.

•   Tasks are completed using well-defined procedures.

 

Requirements

1.    2+ years of related experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry and a BS or BA degree.

2.    Administrative skills specializing in customer service preferred.

3.    Must be able to develop solutions to routine and non-routine problems. 

4.    Good organizational, verbal and written communication skills are required.

5.    Must be able to handle tasks using well-defined procedures with minimal guidance from manager.

6.    General experience with project coordination is helpful.

7.    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is required
