Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the RTR/ GL processes for Asia countries Hong Kong, Tawain, Singapore, China, Japan
  • Manages, prepares, administers, and directs the accounting close and financial reporting process for the markets in scope. Responsible for the timely and accurate review and posting of accounting transactions for the markets in scope.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliation and resolution, and coordinate Balance Sheet Reviews with the Asia Controller and Market Finance Leads for all Asia countries.
  • Responsible for the accounting and reporting requirements under U.S. and local GAAP. Consistently maintains ledger integrity, appropriate internal controls and ensures financial compliance with the worldwide Controller’s manual and to all applicable laws and regulations. 
  • The development of strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Manage the overall process effectively, reporting KPI’s and enhancing and streamlining the effectiveness of the process
  • Recommend changes in processes and/or policies that identify and utilize technologies that will provide efficiencies
  • Develop, measure, report and consistently meet appropriate service level targets for all major processes;
  • Responsible for overall SOX Compliance, testing and reporting requirements for all markets within the Region
  • Interacts successfully with non-financial personnel as well as with internal and external auditors. 
  • Some travel may be required

 

Professional and Functional Competencies

  • BA or BS degree in accounting or equivalent and member of recognized accounting profession bodies
  • Proven track record of 5 to 6 years relevant working experience in multinational companies, preferably in Pharmaceutical and FMCG industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and Asian countries’ local GAAP
  • Experience of operating/setting up RTR/ GL processes in a Shared Service Center in multi-country corporate environment is a definite advantage
  • Hands-on position responsible for handling all the financial related matters in a multi-tasking environment
  • Hands-on experience in Oracle or other equivalent ERP system

Systems Proficiency

  • Oracle ERP or other equivalent ERP system
  • MS Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Hyperion, Essbase is an added advantage
