Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre

The Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre is the first local independent certification body of organic production in Hong Kong. The Centre is providing organic certification service and actively promoting organic movement to public through mass publicity and educational campaigns. It is now seeking suitable candidates to fill the following vacancy:

The appointee is expected to assist the Centre Director in the planning and execution of new marketing initiatives to enhance public awareness on organic living, organic agriculture and organic certification including but not limited to the Centre website, e-marketing, newsletter and other publications. He/She will lead a small team in identifying new marketing opportunities, organizing marketing events and conducting consumer education programmes.

Applicants should have a university degree or equivalent in related disciplines, with at least five years of relevant experience in editorial work in print/web/mobile/social media, preferably in environmental or organic field. Knowledge of graphic design and web production tools will be an advantage. Applicants with less experience will be considered for the post of Assistant Centre Executive. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

Applicants should be able to work independently, self-motivated, ready to accept challenges, and willing to meet people. He/She should have a passion and devotion to organic and green living, and the eagerness to promote local organic agriculture. Out-going and energetic personality are expected. Good communication in both spoken and written English & Chinese and good computer skills including MS Office and Chinese word-processing are required.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
