Responsibilities

• Ÿevaluate samples and recommend improvements to ensure products are ‘Fit for Purpose’
• ŸProvide technical advice and support to sourcing team to ensure products selected comply with European standards and internal company requirements.
• ŸLiaise with the nominated test laboratories to ensure all relevant products are tested according to the requirement from customers
• ŸPerform factory assessment (QA system audit) in relation to Quality standards as well as to ensure early detection and resolution of potential quality issues.
• ŸEnsure quality procedures and product check lists are followed by the factories and in-house / 3^rd party inspectors

To qualify:

• ŸDiploma or above graduate in Science, Industrial/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• ŸMinimum 3 years QA experience in Kitchenware/ Barbecue Grills & Accessories and Gardening & lighting items
• ŸWorking experience in MNC buying office preferred
• ŸKnowledge of European legislation, safety standards, quality systems and technical auditing will be an advantage.
• ŸSolid experience with factory auditing, inspection and testing of hardlines goods, and QA procedure writing
• ŸAccurate, structured and analytical                                                                                                            
  
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Independent, initiative, able to work under pressure and meet tight timelines
• High level of responsibility and strong work ethics
• Open for frequent travelling, mainly in Asia region
• Excellent communication skills in English, Cantonese and Putonghua, both in spoken and written
