GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE    Hong Kong

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

This is a role for a seller/doer, who can take opportunities and convert them into a business stream. Reporting to the Managing Director, the candidate will be a key member of our global Employee Research team, responsible for selling and delivering employee engagement programs.    
The Consultant will be responsible for the full service project management and consultancy of qualitative employee engagement tracking projects, from start to finish.   

The role will include a significant element of Business Development.  The candidate will need to take opportunities and leads and convert them into business, by building the relationship and writing winning proposals.

The role offers excellent career prospects for someone who wants to build their own portfolio of clients.  


KEY TASKS   

Project Delivery

  • Consultancy advice and assistance designing the research project and proposal
  • Produce high quality project deliverables for large projects and sign off project deliverables for junior staff on small and medium sized projects
  • Analyses the profitability of projects and take action to increase margins
  • Solve project related issues and complaints


Account Management

  • Lead client meetings
  • Develop client relationships and repeat business
  • Regularly undertakes high level client presentations
  • Identifies ways of improving the service provided to clients
  • Offer consultancy advice to clients


Management

  • Responsible for recruitment of new staff
  • Responsible for ensuring adequate staffing levels with relevant skills to meet divisional objectives
  • Contributes to divisional financial management and forecasting
  • To manage staff including their training, development and mentoring


Sales and Marketing

  • Lead on designing research methodologies, writing proposals and costing new projects
  • Financial management of projects from the costing stage to commissioning, budget control and execution of final expense reports and completion reports
  • Develop new client relationships through contacts and leading on sales pitches
  • Overall responsibility for internal sales pipeline and coordination of internal pipeline updates
  • Identify, suggest and develop new products and services for clients
  • Contribute ideas to management in regard to the strategic development of the Company and division
  • Develop cross divisional collaboration opportunities
  • Speak at ORC International seminars, marketing events and external conferences
  • Assist in the development of the strategic direction of the division
  • Supporting business development, marketing and the development of services


CORE REQUIREMENTS

  • College degree
  • Be a knowledge leader
  • Able to demonstrate success in business development and proposal writing
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Experience of designing and leading on complex research projects
  • Customer focused with excellent client management skills
  • Good communications skills (both written and verbal) including presentation skills
  • Commercial awareness
