Responsibilities

• report to Managing Director.
• oversee, plan and implement procurement / purchasing functions across the board.
• develop and head up a purchasing team from almost scratch.
• build up purchasing management system and policies.
• explore ways to improve purchasing practices with consideration to industry limitations eg. Short turnaround time, limited vendor pool, decentralized purchasing practice, etc.
• develop communications and strategies with different internal team members and external vendors.
• generate and incorporate procedures pertaining to procurement, cost justification and cost control.
• make proactive analysis, and manage cost saving budget and target
• negotiate for best package in terms of quality, price, term, delivery and service with specific suppliers, not limited to commodity bundling, annual agreement, etc.
• build and maintain relation with a pool of quality vendors, in exhibition and events industry both locally and across region.
• visualize impact and dependencies of core cost, and identify improvement potentials.
• ensure sustainability of achievements, present results, recommendations and solutions.

Requirement

• 5 years + related experience and have managed over 80M HKD above purchasing decision for a year.
• university graduate in Business Administration, Management, Finance or related disciplines.
• business understanding of cost structure and sourcing processes.
• good project management or vendor management skills.
• good communication skills for persuasion and convincing others.
• analytical, flexible and comfort with ambiguity with rational decision making approach.
