Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of the Individual Needs Coordinator, support students with access to the curriculum and associated resources in a manner that challenges and interests and is appropriate to the needs and skill-levels of the students
• Take responsibility for supporting selected curriculum delivery and associated resources in a manner consistent with school and departmental policies and procedures
• Support in the gathering of evidence for assessment of student progress and achievement
• Participate in regular meetings to discuss student progress, achievement and targets
• Support students with organisational strategies, thus preparing them for the structure of the day and anticipated lessons
• Communicate and consult with the Class Teacher, House Tutor, Individual Needs Coordinator and House Master regarding the student who may require additional pastoral care

Requirements

• Personable and culturally sensitive
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential
• Good communication skills and fluency in speaking English
• Mature, initiative, independent, pleasant and the ability to work as a member of a collaborative team
